Fausone & Grysko, PLC is excited to share that two of our esteemed attorneys, Michael McNamara and Jim Jolly, have been elected to serve as judges. Jim Jolly will begin his term as judge in the 16th District Court of Livonia, while Michael will be upholding the highest standards of the judiciary at the 18th District Court in Westland. - Breeda O’Leary is currently Judge at the 29th District Court in Wayne. In fact, Judge O’Leary ran uncontested and secured a 6-year term to begin in 2025. Great job, Judge O’Leary!
- The 3rd Circuit Court of Wayne County has benefited from the expertise and integrity of judges like Melissa Cox, Carla Testani, and Don Knapp, all of whom had illustrious careers in private practice right here at the firm prior to taking the bench.
Michael McNamara: Upholding Justice in Westland
Michael McNamara, a partner at Fausone & Grysko, PLC, and longtime Westland assistant city attorney and prosecutor, has been elected to serve as judge of the 18th District Court of Westland alongside his former colleague, Judge Mark McConnell. Mike earned his law degree from the University of Detroit Mercy and began his career as a trial attorney and litigator at a large Michigan firm. Since joining Fausone & Grysko, PLC, Mike has maintained a strong municipal practice, representing the City of Westland and the William P. Faust Public Library with distinction for many years.
As he takes on his new judicial role, Judge McNamara is committed to upholding justice and maintaining the highest standards of integrity for the residents of Westland.
Jim Jolly: Bringing Legal Insight to Livonia
Jim Jolly joined us in 2022 to become part of the firm’s elite team of municipal prosecutors. Jim graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy and has an undergraduate degree from Western Michigan University. Prior to joining the firm, Jim served as Magistrate in Livonia, where he always hoped to return someday as Judge! Jim is currently on the Livonia City Council and has served as Council President, as well as on numerous committees during his tenure as a Councilman. Jim’s practice with the firm in criminal prosecution, criminal defense, and commercial landlord-tenant matters will served him well as Judge.
